Genealogy Service - Germany

We - TGAC - offer a German Genealogy Service. Our Germany expert, Ute Mehlhorn, is a native German who is living and working in Germany. She can easily access special German databases and she can - with no language barrier - directly contact parish offices, archives and local genealogical societies for an efficient genealogy research. Transcriptions of documents written in the old German cursive [kurrent] and English translations are also part of our TGAC German Genealogy Service.

We always start with an evaluation of information - and sources - you already have. We focus on the questions you have and the blanks you want to be filled for a cost-effective genealogy research project. 

We charge a reasonable flat service fee. As an example, we charge a flat $450 fee (including a $50 archive fee budget) for approx. 16 hours of research time. At the end we provide a report about the research activities and results. Genealogy research can easily become very time-consuming and therefore potentially expensive, but with our flat service fee concept, you keep full control over your expenses for genealogy.
